An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

[She growled and sighed. Her hands rubbed at her head and she groaned. And then, she kind of blinked.

Since when had she ever cared what anyone thought of what she did to make her life work? It was an odd realization. Putting it aside, she sighed and nodded.]

That won't be happening, but we'll talk after it's done sometime. I think we've shouted at each other enough for one day, Pyro.

Booze. If you're really wanting me to talk about cross species mating out of the blue, you're bringing booze. If you really want tea, you can make some over here, but I definitely need something stronger.

They're working so far. Course I didn't need them, but we went over that already. You should eat one if you haven't already. Harmless.

Ask for a bottle of whiskey when you get there. If they ask what brand, say Wild Chicken. I like that one the best. And don't worry. Tomorrow's as tough as today.

I, mm. Still don't see why alcohol's needed for discussion of cross-species mating, it's just biology. Rather academic, no? [She pauses, glancing at the directions.]

I'm not particularly accustomed to buying mind-altering substances for others. It-- I would be much more comfortable if tea were involved,though you are welcome to purchase your own alcohol. I've a bit of an aversion to the substance, myself. Or, at least, I did when I was Antedan.

Eh, it's not academic when you're the one doing the mating. [She grunted and frowned for a moment then shrugged.] I'll scrounge something up. If you want tea, go ahead and pick something up on your way over to the shop then.

But before you do, you're still whatever you were just because things are dampened a little. You didn't turn human here anymore than I'm not a cambion.

Mentally, I am still Antedan. Physically, aside from my markings, I am human. I was given to understand that all are now in this place. Is this not true?

Last time I checked, humans don't have horns, claws or a tail. There's some things that don't work like they do at home, but I'm still definitely not the same as human. I think anything that came with power, stuff like ... well, a few things I don't want to talk about.

[ Per agreed, Kaworu drops by Samantha's place for lunch. He brings is tea because he wants to thank her for the lunch but he is not very sure what people are meant to give as "thank you" gifts. It's Earl Grey tea and hopefully she will like it (forgive him for being such an odd ball, Sam).

He knocks at her door, holding a smile on his lips as he waits. ]

[It's not her favorite tea, but it's up there on the scale, so she won't mind. There's a "I'm coming" from the other side of the door. Footsteps can be heard, and then the process begins. Click. Shink and rattle, Click, Clunk, thunk, click, rattle, shink, click.

The door opens. A glance at it makes it seem that she's reinforced it in the past after it got replaced, and that there's easily seven locks on it. There might even be a rune on the door to protect it from damage.]

Hey. I was expecting you. Come on in.

[The smell of something very sharp is in the air.]

[ it doesn't bother kaworu that Samantha keeps herself locked inside the house. He has lived his life locked inside a secret laboratory so security measures don't make him curious; why they are used is what makes him question it. But he won't ask this time since Kaworu knows Samantha enjoys her privacy ]

[ he enters, looking around curiously (and shamelessly), before he offers her the tea with a smile ] I wasn't sure if you'd like it. I hope you do.

[She looked at the tea and then nodded, taking it from him and beckoning him to follow her into the room.]

That'll be fine, thank you. I'll serve that to drink with the curry.

...we haven't talked as much lately. You been alright?

[ has he been alright? kaworu doesn't know.

Allen left, Shinji died and so Kaworu had no time whatsoever to even think of Allen, there was a festival and kaworu figured few things out, and then he died again and Shinji was hurt because of him.

He opts not to answer that question. He smiles instead. ]

It has been a while. Things have been busy. With you as well - how was the "hippie camp"?

Other than that jackass Henry being there? Fine. We'll see in a few weeks how the surgery turned out, but I got to rest some and let the runes set in.

[As usual, she was the sort who didn't always notice if someone decided to skip, not if it wasn't obvious. He was at least talking about what had happened latelly after all.]

And busy's good. It keeps you from thinking about things too much.

I hope it works, Samantha. [ kaworu smiles softly. he knows how much that means to her. ] Are you afraid?

[ he just smiles at that last statement. Kaworu always thinks too much. About others, mostly ]

Damnit... now I want curry...

... a little, but I really don't live in fear that much, Kaworu. I've seen things that'd drive a few people insane. Fear's not something I live with that much, just ... disgust.

[She was headed towards the little kitchenette, setting out the pot to boil. The smell of curry was strong in the room. She definitely liked things spicy.]

[ kaworu nods ] I wonder which is better. [ kaworu never felt either of the two.

He looks around as he walks inside and eyes set on the curry. He never had any or even smelled it, so he has no idea what that is. ] what are you cooking?

Gah... love curry too much.

Disgust means it's easier for me to keep going, so I prefer that. [She muttered that before pointing at the food she was cooking.] It's curry. A strong spice they use in India. You make a paste with it, and I add vegetables, a little fruit and some lamb to cook it up and serve over rice.
