An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

[She blinked and her cheeks colored a little.] I'll keep this on low heat. Hand me that yellow box in the first cupboard on the left. It won't take much time to fix you some veggie.

[ kaworu blinks and shakes his head with a warmer smile ] Don't worry about it. It was my fault, I should have told you. [ because he is so used to only eat vegetarian, he forgets most people aren't.

He does move to grab the yellow box as requested ]

It's not a problem. I don't mind cooking more. I still have some vegetables ready to go. [She hadn't been sure how much she was making, so she was a little glad for that this time around. Breaking off the little cube from inside the box, she set about making another paste and just left the first to simmer on low heat.]

[ Kaworu stays close by but he doesn't disturb her. he is mostly looking at her cooking so he can learn and try to do it, too, later on ]

[Blessedly, curry's simple to make, so watching her's a good way to learn. It's one of those sort of 'ready-made' types of things. As she works, though, she starts talking.]

So... you came over because of my asking about the dwarves. I want to ask you something. It's fine either way, but do you want to actually know what we were doing down there? Or are you still ok never knowing?

I'm curious by nature. I want to know all that I can and am allowed. But I'm also alright with never knowing.

This isn't about curiosity, this time, Kaworu.

[She stirred and looked over at him quietly for a minute. Kid or not, he was still a lot more than a normal child.]

If you choose to know, you're part of this plan we're working on, and it's not something we want shared, not with the others, not with the gods, not the giants. Maybe eventually... but not now. There'd be people who would stop us, and I think we need this option. Short-sightedness could get us all killed.

I can promise you I won't tell anyone, if you wish to believe me.

But I can not promise you I will be part of the plan, Samantha. I don't become part of anyone's plans so easily anymore. [ someone already did that to him and in the end, he didn't do as planned because he is not a doll. ]

[She considered for a minute, frowning a little. That was enough for her, really. She hadn't liked keeping this a secret when he'd come the first time.]

We're making a weapon. We don't know it will work, but it's designed to kill a god or a giant. I got the plans in the well, while the others were looking for a way to save Freyr.

[ kaworu eyes her for a moment, before his eyes turn to the curry again ]

And which one do you wish to use this weapon on? A god or a giant?

We haven't decided, but I think most of us are leaning towards the giants. It's not something that can be decided just because others say "They're the enemy." We need to be sure who the biggest threat really is to all of us.

[ kaworu is so used to the whole "kill them before they kill us" tactic. ]

Yo. Yep. One of two in the area. Working on a bit of new stock actually. What're you needing right now?

[samantha_grey]

[Close. It's more "We want to have the tools if we need them." She just expected to need them. the difference was basically academic.]

If you want, you can. If you'd rather just know that it's happening, then you do. We're not there, and it may take a while...

But, Odin's made a mistake with us. He uses us like expendable pawns to stem his gap. He wants to end this war, to stop Thiazi, but he seems to think he and the others can do it. The thing is... if they're destined to end one way, and Thiazi's changed things, then there's only one thing in the equation that's really changed in favor of the gods.

Expendable? Though they bring us back to life; if we were that expendable, they would not bother and instead just bring in more travelers. [ Kaworu has died three times, twice in Asgard. they bothered enough to resurrect him all these three times, even if Kaworu doesn't even think he is important at all ]

They brought us here because they need us. And even Thiazi finds us important. [ important enough to try to mess with the travelers directly. So, to say Odin doesn't give travelers much importance is a bit suspicious. Perhaps he does, he simply doesn't wish to show it.

Still, the angel does not say anything that is simply an assumption. ]

... maybe I should rephrase what I mean by expendable. They certainly are willing to risk our lives and bring us back... but you do have a certain point. Still, it's clear enough that they have a very specific role they want us in.

And they don't really want us to leave that role, though... they don't all agree on that attitude. Ran and the Lokis are ... a little more open-minded than he is. [She sighed.] No, you're right. I'm not really being completely fair. I'm just tired of how much we've had to fight to get them to let us do more than create color, how much we have to struggle to get answers. How long was it before they opened the library?

*evil grin* Yeaaaah, she likes torturing you two... waaaay too much

[The address comes over, just in sight of the hospital, in neighboring Loki.]

Stop by anytime, and I'll let you know when I'm sure the new stock won't make your head explode or anything stupid like that.

[When he got to the shop, he'd find it set into a tiny alley, the hospital barely in sight. The sign 'Pinch of Sage' hung over the door, and once inside his nostrils were assailed by every herb imaginable. A heavy scent, bordering on reek, of garlic, sage, thyme and tobacco, all hanging and curing along the walls behind the counter in the cramped space, filled the air. A table was set to the side, and Samantha visible at the counter. A chalk-board showed prices for poisons and potions, while plenty of over-the-counter medicines, drugs and even a few regular potions were there.]

[It takes him around half an hour or so to find the location, pushing the door open and taking a step inside. Immediately turning his nose up at the smell- just for a second. The place smells horrible.

He glances around for a moment, opting to head straight for the counter and read over the board.]

[samantha_grey]

[She gives him a wave and glances back at the board before turning towards him. Leaning on the counter, she smirked.]

Looking to cause trouble, or protect against trouble?

[sharingone]

[The answer would likely be a mixture of both. Protection, mostly, but he wouldnt' be afraid to use things against people if the situation warranted it.]

I'll take some of the smoke bombs. [As for what else..]I'm looking more for things that can be used against others, if needed.
