I didn't take chances when things started going haywire. I handed myself over to get cleansed (via a poison, buuuut... not getting into that). There was no way I was taking the chance of my other half going crazy again that fast.

I'm going to be talking to Loki once he's back on his feet enough and getting the procedure done.
