IC Inbox - Asgard Eventide

An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

I haven't seen it in action, but I get the feeling it can. You really should work on it, actually. Just be careful what you ask for. You might get it.

Well, I'm being vague for a reason. Plenty of things you could Charm someone to do you'd regret. [Not all naughty]

Charm makes them feel peaceful around you, fall in love with you, do whatever you ask of them, whatever you think you want. When the power turns off, what if they don't stop wanting you? What if they don't know how to take no for an answer, or they're the sort who just fawn over you. What if they make trouble for the people you actually like?

What if you think you want them to help you, but they turn out to be no use while they're besotten by your powers?

Or, what if they're like me... and when your powers turn off they go completely psycho on you and try making you nail yourself to the nearest wall so they can play with you?

Just... be careful when you use it. It's an easy power to abuse.

When the fighting dies down, talk to Merlin, Castiel or Conan. They've been keeping track of testing on powers. I'm not sure what they know about Charm, but there's probably been at least some testing.

I'm just paranoid.

Yep. Believe it or not, he's one of the strongest of all of us in Body Control.

It's one of the reasons I think a lot of people listen to him, even though he's eight or so. Well, that and him being a little eerily smart all the time. But yeah, I only just started catching up to him, and he's had a lot more time to practice with it.

I have a.... well, someone I know here is from my world, and there's no way I'm letting her get stronger at her powers than me.

Competition can be good, I guess. I'm not that interested in getting better at treating people like marionettes, myself. Still struggling with the ethics.

The one girl I'm talking about knows shadow control, so she's pretty.... excited about that.

I would be too. It's the better power by far. [She's biased, and besides, it's better her other half only gets this one.]

Don't even know who she is. I usually stay away from the rest of Hel's crew. She's got odd tastes in people she picks up.

What's the rest of Hel's crew like anyways?

Varies. Lot of freaks. Three of the trolls used to live there, though one's in another house now and the crazy one with the horns is gone along with his pissed off buddy. Bunch of morticians, a girl who reminded me of a frankenstein monster, vampires, people who were dead, creepy bastards and cynical sorts mostly. Used to have a housemate. Don't think they even had a personality. Just stood there and stared at you... like through you.

Creepy as hell.
