An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

Oh lord, you never actually met Eridan did you? He's got fins [She splayed them out over her ears with her hands.], yellow horns like lightning bolts, a purple streak in his hair, gills and gray skin, along with fangs... and claws... [She shuddered and suddenly smiled.

There was nothing innocent in that smile. She liked his claws.]

Yeah. [Back to reality, Sam.] The trolls are all weird. They're each different. He and Feferi were both amphibious.

More like lungfish. I wouldn't compare them to frogs.

And lungfish are real. They can crawl on land a little sometimes.

Gender's... a little weird with them. Let's leave it at that. Did you happen to see what color his irises were? They're the same color as their blood.

well, there's only one of each color around, so I was going to use that to figure out who it was. Eh, it's no biggee.
