An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

Understandable. I'd like to speak to you about your "bad side," as I had it described to me. I'm concerned, not only for other's safety, but also your own.

[It's said with complete sincerity, and she gives a small nod]

I wish to understand, first and foremost. I don't wish to make any assumptions, and would, if you would be willing, to work towards a potential solution that minimizes risk of injury for yourself and others.

[A stranger openly asking had her hackles up a little. However, it wasn't as if she hadn't been free with the information lately to help protect others. Sighing she nodded.]

If you want to help control that part of me, speak to Merlin and Conan Edogawa, or to Eve Samson. I've ... agreed to allow them to prep a way to lock me up before the day we expect me to lose control again without my knowing what they're doing. I'm sure they'd appreciate the help of someone I don't know.

I will at least talk to them. But the first thing I would like to know is simply basic information. I'm told that you have a "bad" side, but that's it. Could you explain what this means, please?

[samantha_grey]

I'm a half demon. My father was an incubus, and the demonic blood makes me unstable. In my world, sometimes this would mean I went on a rampage, following my demonic side's whims and wishes. This seems to happen less often here than it did at home.

Right now, we think it's a lunar cycle. Every new moon, I turn into a psychotic, blood-thirsty bitch of a succubus. there's no physical change, just my demonic urges bubbling up.

[lassos]

[She nods, her expression staying cool]

I see. I'm sure that must be difficult, so I extend my sympathies as far as you will allow.

[But, she doesn't speak any more on it, since her sympathy is genuine, certainly, but there are more important things to talk about] What do your urges when you're influenced by your other side generally entail?

[samantha_grey]

[Talk of sympathy was just ignored. In truth, it made her uncomfortable, but she was used to people giving it even if pitchforks and torches made more sense. The rest, however, was more straightforward. She didn't like it, but she'd ceased avoiding some of the topic with most people. Life was easier if they understood.]

Succubi are sexual predators. They devour the souls of people they've led into sin, vice and depravity. That part of me gets off on doing blasphemous, horrific, violent and sexual things. She teases, torments, offends, mocks and destroys. What specifically depends on her mood at the time.

So, basically, I turn into a predator with a taste for violent, depraved kinks and with destructive tendencies.

[lassos]

[And she's still not phased at all, nodding along with a serious expression, but it's one that's like she's trying to commit each word to memory rather than anything judgmental]

Understood. Then it would seem isolation would be best, but finding such a location could prove to be difficult...

[She looks thoughtful as Diana immediately considers a location, but smiles, remembering that there are other people to consider]

Isolation's the best call if I can't find some other way to control it. I'm trying, but it's best to assume other ways won't work until I know for sure.

[She shrugged uncomfortably.]

I tried being evasive when I got here, just telling people to stay away. They always insisted on asking why. When I didn't give all the details, some stupid bastards went and tried to 'help' me during my first episode. Being up front's a lot easier. Saves me headaches and gives better odds of stopping the third in its tracks.

[lassos]

To be fair, we are expected to branch out and meet others here... It's hardly a surprise that people would be curious, myself included.

But we'll see what we can do to help you.

[samantha_grey]

... yeah, that's what the gods tell us. Kind of sadistic in this case, if you ask me. Not a great lover of them, even if we're on the same side.

But you're right. You guys keep working, and I'll keep working on my own. Here's to some day when I can go through a month without mauling some poor soul.

Few of us are, but politics are perhaps something for another time.

Yeah, appreciate you working with the others. Too many cooks could spoil this soup, so it's good people are on the same page when the next new moon comes around.

Indeed. I hope that we may meet perhaps after—I would suggest before, but that may ruin a potential element of surprise, right?

Before's fine, assuming you can handle yourself. It's not like I haven't warned you already. Just pick a time, and I'll let you know if I'm busy. Preferably somewhere public for reasons I imagine are obvious.

Of course. Though when are you free, rather? My schedule is largely... open, so it is likely easier to schedule with respect to you than myself.
