IC Inbox - Asgard Eventide

An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

... You're in Freya district, right? Ok, Kirino call me crazy, but you're not a fighter and you need to get out of the way of any fighting. Do you know where the comfort house is in your district?

It's closer to the big castle thing.

[she was not going to sound nervous right now, but she really did not like being on the other side of town at this moment.]

If you don't... I've mapped this town. I could give you directions.

I ...think I know.

[She wants to just grab Kuroneko and get out of here too, just make sure some of her friends are alright.]

But giving me directions would help.

[Kuro was always the sensible one. Hopefully she was already on her way. Sam hadn't even met her.]

Stay off the main roads. When you leave the house, you'll take a left and then follow the cherry trees along the next right. About ten blocks later, hang a left and another right two blocks after. You should be able to see it, and they're taking in everyone, so that helps.

[There was a small ping and a little map appeared on her message with the directions on it.]

I want you to be careful. There's fighting further north, but they haven't gotten into the city yet, so you should be safe. The dragons are way north for now. Just don't try anything really stupid, ok?

(OOC: That is complete out of my ass, but you get the idea.)

[Kirino listens to her words, even seeing the little map that she had been sent. Kirino nods to herself.]

I...I won't! ....But.... I guess I should thank you, huh?

[She sighed and leaned against one of the tent poles, looking up at the sky and shaking her head.]

If you want to thank me, you can talk to me as you're getting to the comfort house. I've already got a lot of people to worry about, a lot more than I'm used to, and some of the fools are fighting right now.

I'd just like to know one of them's safe, and I can't call the idiot fin-boy. That'd just sound weird right now.

Fin-boy...?

[She says this as she's walking towards the comfort house.]

....Ah, you mean that fish creature? [eridan will never have a name.]

Yeah, Eridan. It's not easy to just up and call that egotistical, gilled lamebrain. He'll get a big ego about it, and now's not the time.

....Now might be the only time though.

[She says this as she walks.]

Take it from someone like me, I hate ....letting people know I'm concerned.

Believe me, I know. [She sounded for a moment unsure. This situation was not easy to be in considering what she was trying to deal with.]

It's not that easy, Kirino. Trolls are complicated. [Why was she talking about this? She probably needed it off her chest, and Roxy and Rose had already gotten enough lately.] He and I are kind of rivals, only not quite like you'd probably think. You don't usually just out and tell a troll you're worried about them. They're your rival. They're supposed to be able to take care of themselves, or they're not worth being a rival.

Sometimes, it's the most fucking ass-backwards bullshit I've ever heard of, and king egotistical is the most braindead, dense son of a bitch I've ever known. And right now, it's beyond irritating the hell out of me that I can't just call him up and talk about things. The god-damned world's collapsing around us and I don't even know what the hell I think of him or want, or if I've got any business wanting something.

Hah. I'm a fucking basket case. Your guide's a soul-sucking basket case. Hopefully the directions are good at least.

Still, Kirino knows what it's like to be overly worried for someone but feel utterly crazy for feeling that way. She loves her brother more than anything- but they drifted apart after so many years and they were slowly coming back together, it had made her beyond happy. She would.... have so much trouble telling him she was worried for him though, it's just how she is, 99% tsun and 1% dere.]

I think you should at least call him up and ask if he's alright, as much as it might hurt you since you're rivals.

[It was less trust, and more outright stress. Sam, despite the front, was a bit at her wits end. She was face to face with another war and dealing with yet another relationship nightmare in the middle of it. Kirino was just getting an earful at this point because she was convenient and somebody needed to shout.

It also didn't hurt that she didn't have much invested in this herself. A lot of the people Sam usually talked to did. Random strangers were like a dumping ground for her this week.]

I'll think about it. In the end, I'm not a troll, and dumbass is going to have to learn to deal with that.

What's the deal with trolls anyways? In my world they were just in stories and they lived under bridges, mostly.

It's the name they use. I think they're supposed to be aliens or something, but they behave more like demons than anything else. I swear, when I met one I thought she'd come from hell.

If you ever meet one of them and they honk a bicycle horn all the time, avoid them. He's completely insane.

He's an insane killer clown who his best friend described as being 'murder happy.' From what the others said, that was supposed to be pretty accurate about Gamzee. I think he might have been trying to kill me the first time we met.

Was until about a month and change ago. Haven't seen him in a while. I think he and Karkat're long gone. Good news is he's easy to recognize. You're looking for a giggling idiot that never bathes who's got big pointy horns, clown makeup a bicycle horn and a bowling pin in the other hand.

Yeaaah, that's a good description. The others here are usually better. A couple are kind of assholes, but they keep their violence between them... usually.

I really need to work on this charm power, maybe that'll distract them enough so I can run away. [she's hella fast yo.]

I haven't seen it in action, but I get the feeling it can. You really should work on it, actually. Just be careful what you ask for. You might get it.
