An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

Well, the magical crap here seems to produce something a lot closer to mini curses, but it's very limited in how much power you can really get without going out of your way for ingredients.

Makes sense. Sounds a lot like the hexes at home, actually. Mix of willpower and the right number of newt livers. If I find cool stuff around somewhere, do you want it?

Mostly just the newt livers. You can send any odd things you find my way. I've got a good catalogue of the stuff that grows in this world, so I should be able to tell you if it does anything.

[And why tell? For the most part because she was certain the really nasty stuff was out of his reach, and because without a license he couldn't get the quantities to be a real threat. Yet, anyway.

In the meantime, it let her keep an eye on the oddball.]
