An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

No, I don't suppose you really are bite size, are you? And you've got that pesky little mind trick of yours, don't you? I wonder if you'd be brave enough to dare visiting my mind...

[She laughed and shook her head, though it couldn't be seen.]

And what's wrong with calling someone something? Don't you call a person "It" in a game of tag? As long as fun is being had, you shouldn't fuss so much.

I've got telekinesis. So think more in the lines of "what could I throw at your face".

[He's getting angry now. Between the curse and having sent his message to a number of people before it got to Sandy, his mood is getting bad again.]

If you can't tell the difference, then I want to know about your games even less.

Believe me, there is a very large difference between an "It" and a person. People do much more wonderful things than what most people call toys. They play back...

[She giggled again and then a low growl came through.]

But if you're proud of that pretty power of yours, you could always come try and see how well you throw before I make you my little puppet to dance on my strings.

[Proud of his power? Hell no. He likes being in the mischief house, but these mind abilities aren't his real self.]

I'm not a chicken, but I won't be your toy either. Find someone else to do that thing you call fun and leave me alone.

[He would hang up but the network is messing with him.]

[And now, she plays on one of those emotions she knows so many of you have, curious to see if Jack's on that list. The feed switches to video, and there's a bit of blood running down the claws that she's licking. It's actually her blood from a shallow wound she's just done to herself off camera, but the effect is good enough for a show. Flicking the droplets off of it, she laughs wickedly.]

Are you sure you can live with yourself knowing that someone else is going to take your place? When I say break [At which point, her fingers and claws clench and she bares those small fangs of hers, blood-red eyes wide with mad glee] I do mean break. They don't let me out of my cage often, Jack.

I intend to drink my fill today. Are you really the sort who'd just let someone like me go find someone to play with?

[Seeing the camera turning on makes Jack... ok not panic, but definitely something similar. He doesn't want people seeing him like this.

This time, he does manage to hang up, the little blood show not reaching his hero-wannabe eyes. It seems you'll be able to have your way after all, Sam.]

[She always got what she wanted, in her own way, but then again she was surprisingly easy to please in a very sick and depraved sort of way. One quarry was always as good as the other...
