An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

[She smiled as Elizabeth came into view, keeping herself facing her so her back wasn't as easily seen. Opening the door for her, she led the way into the sauna.]

So the idea of a sauna is that it's really hot inside. [She offered her another towel and wrapped one around her own hair.] Keep that there to help keep your head from getting too hot. You sweat out some of the stress and let the heat get into your muscles. It's really good.

[Leave it to the demon to like saunas.]

[Elizabeth follows, looking at Sam as she listens intently about the sauna. when she's given a towel she watches her & then does the same for herself.]

I see. That sounds very relaxing, actually. I'm a little excited! [she really needs to drag Booker here.]

[samantha_grey]

[She nodded before opening up the sauna door and ushering Elizabeth in. Quickly shutting it, she set out a couple towels and tossed a bit of water onto the hot coals, sending steam hissing out into the room. It was already a little cloudy and hard to see clearly while she sat down and patted the spot next to her.]

It's definitely good for leeching the tension out of your muscles.

[she sits down next to Sam. it doesn't take too long before she realizes what she was talking about.]

Oh-! Oh... [she leans back with relaxed smile.] This is relaxing.

[Have a chuckle, along with a lazy tail coiling its way idly around your calf if you don't bat it away Elizabeth. Her arm rests on her knee as she leans back against the walls of the space, breathing out a sigh. It felt good for her body to start to warm up, another bit of water, adding to the steam that was starting to bead over them.]

Let me know if you ever start feeling woozy. But we can enjoy how the steam makes us feel...

(OOC: Hah, this is kind of a naughty icon, but it works perfectly for the sauna.)

Mmm... No, no this is nice. This feels good.

[at first she shivers when Samantha's tail wraps around her leg but she remembers what it was to the demon so she merely tried to relax again.]

[Wait, she remembered what it was? She must have been remembering the 'sensitive' part and assuming batting it away would hurt. Hopefully one of them would remember the other half of things before it started wandering. For now, though, it was just tapping idly at her leg while she glanced over.]

Why do I get the feeling you've had a bit of stress to get out recently?

[Probably because she was the source of some of it.]

I'm just... happy to be back in the normal world.

[she'd really rather not go into details as memories of what she saw, what she did - they'll just resurface. it's best not to reopen old wounds. Booker said just living with it is all she could do.]

This place is definitely helping. [Elizabeth tips her head back, letting out a deep breath as she closes her eyes.] Yes... this was most definitely a good idea.

[She patted at Elizabeth's knee once, a little nervously before drawing her hand up, closing her fingers and settling it on the bench between them. Nodding, she let her own eyes close for a minute and squirmed just slightly.]

Glad to help. Anything I can do to help more? [Think of it as paying back for ... well, yeah.]

This is enough, really. You don't have to worry about it. I couldn't ask for anything else.

[She let out a long, slow sigh. Perspiration was starting to bead out and run down her body. She could feel it seeping into her, not only relaxing her but making her feel a little more herself. She liked the feeling of her body temperature warming up like this.]

mmm, I do like it when I feel flush like this.... it feels natural.

[unchain]

It does feel very nice. [Elizabeth smiles after letting out a relaxed sigh herself.]

I don't think I've ever felt so relaxed in my life.

[Samantha wasn't 'quite' as relaxed. Her tail certainly was, running along the inside of Elizabeth's calf as she felt the heat rise in her cheeks from other things than the sauna. Elizabeth being able to be this relaxed around her was ... odd, and a little nerve wracking. What if something went wrong and the runes weren't really working? What if Eridan got jealous of the attention? What if ...

She breathed in slowly, putting her hands together before letting out a long exhalation.]

I'm glad you can relax like this. Glad you can with me for that matter.

[There. That was an innocuous test of the waters to calm her nerves, wasn't it?]

Oh, Samantha. [Elizabeth turns her head, smiling warmly at her.] Of course I can. We're friends after all.

[samantha_grey]

[She turned her head towards that motion and immediately regretted it just a little bit. Her face turned a shade redder as she remembered they'd been sitting relatively close to each other right now. The cambion swallowed and managed a nervous smile.]

Yeah... definitely friends... Sorry, I'm kind of a weird friend sometimes.

[unchain]

[noticing the red shade on her friend's face, Elizabeth tilts her head & puts a hand on her knee out of concern.]

Are you okay? Is it getting too hot?

[samantha_grey]

[She was evil and she didn't even know it! Samantha squirmed as she felt the hand on her knee, her eyes getting a little wider, biting her lip. She offered a quick nod, trying to control her breathing a little.]

nnngh. I'm sorry. It's just... [she flicked some water onto the coals to add more steam.] It's hard not to notice that you're really pretty right now.

[unchain]

O--Oh. [well that was unexpected. Elizabeth retracts her hand & looks down at her lap, hands awkwardly folding over it.]

I-I'm sorry. [Sam was paying her a compliment but she feels like she's the one at fault here. though she flushes, appreciating it all the same.]

[samantha_grey]

[She blinked and leaned forward, instantly regretting that she had done so. They were both a little heated, and planting a hand on the other side of Elizabeth had brought her in close to that heat, face still beet red.]

You don't have to say you're sorry for being attractive. I'm the one with the problem here, Elizabeth.

[unchain]

I just... I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, that's all.

[Elizabeth's not exactly sure what to do here. she knows very well what Sam is but she wants to assure her friend she's not going to distance herself from her just because of that.]

[samantha_grey]

[She laughed a little, hovering nearby and shaking her head.] It's not something you can control. You don't need to feel bad. It's just something inside me that's wrong and that you're really kind to put up with. It's not fair of me.

[unchain]

[she shakes her head.] Despite of what you are, I want to be friends with you, Samantha. If that means you... are the way you have to be, that's fine.

[a soft hand rests upon Sam's.] There's nothing wrong with you.

[samantha_grey]

There's a lot wrong with me. [She closed her eyes and her body shifted as she breathed in heavily.] You know what I am, what part of me wants. It's more under control... but I still want to feed from you sometimes.

Friends don't do that.
