An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

Date: 2014-08-13 03:27 am (UTC)Sounds like you don't want to hold back, so go for it. It's just too bad you forgot the weedkiller you promised. And there's no where off limits for me, how about you? Anywhere I should keep away from?
[Well might was well see what other play toys there were since she was still looking as well.]

...
[She almost said 'watch the tail,' but for some reason she didn't feel like giving away that it was an erogenous zone to this woman. Heading towards the door, she paused to look back at Zero for a moment, a hand reaching over to slip a pair of blunted sai into her belt.]
Fight ends when one of us says uncle, or one of us can't fight.

Date: 2014-08-13 03:53 am (UTC)Simple enough rules to remember. Let's see how quickly you can make me cry out.
[Zero simply slipped past her into where she figured the main area would be. Leaving the sword resting across her shoulders and a wooden longspear in tow. She wouldn't ditch her real sword until they were in the actual area since she didn't trust it not to go walking off if left unattended. Looking back over her shoulder Zero really only had one little thing to ask about.]
So what's the winner get?
Re: [action]
Date: 2014-08-13 03:57 am (UTC)Name a prize. Depending on what you want if you win, I'll be picking mine. Be careful not to ask too much, though. You never bet what you won't lose.

Date: 2014-08-13 04:04 am (UTC)[Well that and there was no point in cooking when it's for a dragon that lives off rotten meat either. As for anything else, there were very few things that meant anything to Zero. In fact there was really one thing and that idiot certainly wasn't here. Nor were any of those guys, but even they weren't really hers and wouldn't have had long anyways.]
But don't worry, feel free to ask for whatever you want.
Re: [action]
Date: 2014-08-13 04:14 am (UTC)[Settling into a stance a short distance away from the swordswoman, she pulled the chain out and started to spin it in a long, slow arc to one side, other hand hefting the axe while she waited for Zero to approach. Her blood-red eyes were wary, watchful to see if the woman could actually see through the blossom in her skull or not. If she was any good, she could compensate, but it was important to know all the same.]

Date: 2014-08-13 04:23 am (UTC)[Pulling out her sword and putting out of the way, she replaces its spot on her side with the practice blade. Glancing over towards Samantha, if she was going to start with a chain then it made sense to go with the longer weapon first to keep from getting tangled up in it.
Well the playful banter was over, so now it was time to work up a sweat. With a small battle cry she started the charge moving rather quickly with the spear in hand.]
[action]
Date: 2014-08-13 04:31 am (UTC)When she whipped, her hand spun the chain in a sudden and fast arc, upping the speed of its motion and twisting with axe beard up to deflect the point. Her goal was to coil the chain around the edge of the barb and get it under her control.
When she moved, there was something visceral about it. She didn't move like a martial artist. She was skilled, but it was more feral and undisciplined. Her skills were honed from numerous battles, but almost all in a very aggressive and improvised method. She knew her weapons, but she didn't use them with kata or anything of the like. It was as unpredictable at times as it was unfocused, especially as she seemed to be less concerned than someone should have about taking a blow.]
[action]
Date: 2014-08-17 03:44 am (UTC)Landing solidly on her feet Zero pulled the spear tight. It was a problem, and had it been any other time she could have simply dissolved the spear and switched the sword and then back, but here that wasn't an option. But at the very least it kept the other from using the chain as a means of attack.]
Not bad.
Re: [action]
Date: 2014-08-17 06:51 pm (UTC)She grinned nastily when she was yanking on the weapon, using the position and forced closeness to aim a blow with her axe for the midriff on the woman. The intent was much more obvious now, because for as long as Zero held the spear she wouldn't be able to pull away, and Samantha could rely on the smaller, lighter weapon to lash out. As she did, her tail was whipping out, trying to catch one of the warrior's ankles and keep her off balance.]
Acrobatic little minx...

Date: 2014-08-18 04:30 am (UTC)Sam raised the axe, trying to hook the beard under the haft and attempting to tug it out of her way while pushing forward with a shoulder. She couldn't keep the attack pressed, but if she could keep the woman just a little off balance, it would help her in a moment.]
Hmmmph. Words are cheap. Let's see.

Date: 2014-08-18 04:58 am (UTC)[Well crap, that hadn't worked quite as well or as long as she had hoped. Though she knew now just how cheap the weapons were and was glad that she had her own when it mattered. Spinning around to avoid the other as the spear finished shattering, Zero held onto the broken handle while also managing to pull out the sword with her free hand.
Someone apparently had a lot of anger pent up inside, which off course was making this all the more fun.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:05 am (UTC)After all, the 'axe' she was using wouldn't hold up a hair's breadth against a real sword either. Its only real advantage was that it was smaller and more stocky, giving it a harder frame to just break.
When the intoner pulled her sword, Samantha spun her chain in a low arc, trying to circle her. She definitely looked like she had ample stores of anger. They simmered and burned just behind the eyes, not with a roiling rage but an ongoing and constant boil. For now, she waited until the other woman was ready to come forward, the chain ready to try and go for her knees in a hope to knock her on her back if she could manage it.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:16 am (UTC)[Switching her grip on the handle, Zero took a moment and lowered her body just a little, focusing a moment before launching herself at the once again. It was still slower than with her powers but faster than the first had been, and noticeably faster than someone who had never trained. The chain might be a problem, but she would wait to see how the succubus would use it before she dealt with it. Either it would be another arch to try and tangle her, or a direct shot, the question was which.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:20 am (UTC)[Repetition, particularly on top of the previous move, was a good way to get into trouble. Instead, the weight shot straight forward, striking in a downward blow aimed for the upper thigh. It was as much meant to bruise as it was to trip and entangle in her approach.
The axe, meanwhile, was brought up in a half defensive arc to keep hte blade at bay while Zero lunged. She was watching her every move as they danced, eyes focused on the woman. It had been a while since she was breaking a sweat, so she appreciated the sensation of her pulse quickening.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:28 am (UTC)Catch!
[It would be enough to distract her for just a second hopefully, or cause her dodge in which case she would hopefully be off balance when Zero's attack landed. With one final step she leaped forward, her body parallel to the ground while the bullet of the chain slammed into her shin rather than thigh. Still there was enough momentum carrying her forward that it didn't slow her down much and she had already lost the feeling in most of her extremities.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:35 am (UTC)Her axe came up at the lunge and she braced herself to take the blow. It didn't turn aside, and so she reared her head back and bashed forward. Sometimes having a thick skull came in handy.]

Date: 2014-08-18 05:48 am (UTC)The blunted weapon spun once, seeking to push its tines along the blade and get a grip, wanting to test just how strong Zero's grip was on her weapon. She suspected that she knew, but here was the best place to find out.]

Date: 2014-08-19 04:10 pm (UTC)We could have gotten the answer who was going to slam who against the wall.
[She kept the pressure on the other, but didn't push down hard enough that there was a chance of anything breaking or of the sword accidentally collapsing Samanth'a throat.]

Date: 2014-08-20 04:57 pm (UTC)[She scowled when she felt the woman's legs coiling against her, her hands keeping the practice weapon from breaking anything. Snarling, she tried another headbutt, but there was enough distance to make it futile. Attempting a roll wasn't working, but she had another trick up her sleeves.
She let one of her hands slip towards Zero's where it held the weapon. A thin scratch, nothing worse than a pissed off cat might leave, but she had tattoos on her back with power. The girl was not above a touch of cheating, since technically she couldn't turn them on. It was only a roughly chance in four that the tattoo would work, but if it did, it would freeze Zero for just a few seconds, enough time to try and roll out of her grip or at least roll them over so she was on top.
Provided it worked.]

Date: 2014-08-21 03:44 am (UTC)Didn't realize you were a scratcher, guess you do like it rough.
[It wasn't long though before she realized that her arm was starting to get stiff. Well if they were going to play dirty, Zero certainly didn't mind at all. As her arm gave way she reached out and started shaping the shadow that she had been casting over the other into a rope, weaving it around Sam's torso to trap her if she weren't quick enough or strong enough the get out of it's weak grip.]
