An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

Date: 2013-11-22 01:21 am (UTC)[And then, to action!
It doesn't seem too late to Jane, it's not even dark yet, but the day is certainly waning, and Jane takes care to knock on the door just in case. It took her a little while to find the place...]
Hello? Anyone in?
yep!
Date: 2013-11-22 02:15 am (UTC)You here fo... oh hey, it's you. Come on in.
[She gave her a smile and motioned for her to come in. The small space is cramped, with a simple counter and a table with two chairs on the door's side. The whole place practically reeked of herbs, sage, thyme, garlic and other more exotic varieties hanging all along the back log along with obvious rows of herbal remedies and a few over the counter remedies.
A little more distressing, though, was the constantly updated 'potions' price list on a blackboard on one wall. Prominent there was the word Poisons over a longer list than the options above. And... near to it, was that a small glass jar of mushrooms beside it? Depending on how well she knew her hallucinogens...
Well, the shop definitely was rather open about what it sold.]
You find the place alright?

Date: 2013-11-22 07:50 pm (UTC)She takes a deep breath.] Oh - um, it was a little tricky, but I'm still new. I'll get the hang of things, I think. It smells lovely in here...

Date: 2013-11-22 09:28 pm (UTC)Most people hate it. Don't stay for long. Say it smells too strongly, but for me it smells more like home this way.

Date: 2013-11-23 01:09 am (UTC)[She catches sight of the tail and eyes it for a moment. Clearly there are things she should ask, but...that could come later.]
So does that mean you run an apothecary where you're from?

Date: 2013-11-23 02:00 am (UTC)Not exactly good for business.

Date: 2013-11-23 02:03 am (UTC)No, I suppose it isn't. So, magic is a thing where you come from?
