An old, brick edifice stands in front of the burnt-down ruins of a home in the hillside. Mountains rear up in all directions, covered in lush, green vegetation. Nobody comes this way anymore, but you have the sense that anything placed in the mailbox attached to this old structure will be found by someone, the only living person for whom this place still has any meaning.

I've got my stock mostly back and intact from the trip to Utgard. So I should be able to take the extra. If they come looking for a sleep potion, though, yours is still the only place with that recipe. If I hit an overflow, I'll let you know. Castiel's opening a shop too.

[A pause. She's been kind of talking to Snape behind your back about trying to find a backup for you, Draco.]

A few seconds later, the pirate pops onto video, looking like he's concentrating extremely hard on the feed. Once he realizes that the video has finally switched on, Jack looks up and grins. ]

Finally, around an hour later, the pirate leisurely strolls in. He's distracted momentarily by the cramped shelves of herbs and medicines, curiously investigating them, then works his way over to the counter.

I hope you will forgive the forward nature of this missive! A Mr. Draco Malfoy passed your name along (and if I might add, spoke rather highly of it) when I came to have a look about his apothecary.

Alchemy and herbalism are keen interests of my own world, though of course, their practices are markedly different here in Asgard. I would be delighted to speak of any particularities you cared to discuss -- though of course, I understand the desire to keep certain trade secrets!

[Well, that was formal. Almost like a letter. She chuckled as she read it and mused about how Draco had told her he'd be sending people her way... Well, the old saying with her went, Any friend of Draco's...]

Feel free to stop by Pinch of Sage. I've sent directions along with this. I tend to be a workaholic, so I'm in fairly late. [It also had to do with the shadier side of her business as a fence on off hours, but she wasn't mentioning that.] I'm always looking for alchemists, and if you're from his and Hermione's world, I'm interested in talking. I keep a few secrets, but not many. We're in a war, and the more armed we are, the better.

[Loki isn't usually one for tipping people off, but he figures he can do this for a couple of the travellers. Specifically, the ones who weren't too nosy when the little shit posted about the earth giants on the network. Loki remembers very well.]

So how was the roadtrip to the Kingdom of the Dead?

Got some advice for you. Start stocking up. Trade's gonna be slow for a while after the show those two assholes put on.

I let others go on it. We had some major irritations here, but we survived. I heard it was about as dead as you'd expect.

I try to keep my stock close, but I'll switch over to a few other contacts as much as I can. Thanks for the heads up.

I seem to have just inherited Draco's apothecary.

[Samantha, ever the eloquent one. She'd seen the message too. This wasn't good in her book. Right now, it left her as the sole provider of potions, unless Sophie or someone else picked up a license. Even if she inherited his stock of ingredients, she could only do so much. Hopefully some of the native suppliers could pick up the slack.]

Are you going to be running it, or selling it?

[there's a long pause, and she takes a deep breath. jade had practically thrown the shop at her, and she's still reeling from losing one of her first and best friends.]

If nothing else, he kept meticulous records and I've watched him messing about enough that I could likely follow them. So I could try, but last I knew, there's no way for me to get to Utgard for certification to purchase stock.
